Anywho, I digress …

It has been an odd week. I had minor abdominal surgery last Friday and it went well, but was very different to what I expected. Everyone at the hospital was kind – expected. I got to wear purple socks and a snazzy hat – unexpected. I took a long time to wake up – unexpected. Pain was minimal, drugs were maximal – 🙂

Anywho, I digress …

What I really didn’t expect after the surgery was my stomach – it is huge! I haven’t been super slim for some time. I gave up Pilates last year after 10 years – short dull story. Not only is my stomach gargantuan, but it is also sore.

Those of you who know me, know that I don’t favor dresses. I like trousers. I have a lot of trousers. Sadly, none of them can accommodate my corporation – not even my fat pants. I am getting by with borrowed pajama trousers, but when I go for a walk to the end of the street, people stare.

I return to work next week. Let’s hope that I don’t have to show up in borrowed pajamas. Perhaps I will start a new trend?
