Anywho, I digress …

Loosely based on what might have happened. Or not.

Wordy Knickers – always entertaining

It's the cheese Gromit!

I have mentioned before my interest in the odd word here and there. I have a new word to add to the original listspecies.  No reason, just like the way it sounds.

Anywho, I digress …

Even though I have been in the USA for more than 10 years, I am often surprised by the pronunciation of certain words.  I have two favorites, of course 🙂

Watching the news a few years ago, an otherwise dull report was invigorated with the use of the word fracas.  I listened to it again and again – love Tivo – and my smile just got bigger. You can hear both pronunciations here.  I don’t know why I find it so entertaining.  But I do.

Another very satisfying word – to say, not to be – is gaseous.  I like the UK version – you can stretch it out and pull a face like Wallace … yes, I am wierd.  Love that word.  Very expressive.

Lisa.
